Our cookbook club feature for this month is Australian Masterchef winner Emma Dean’s A Homegrown Table. The recipe book contains over 100 recipes with seasonal, farm-fresh and foraged produce. The book portrays her sense of adventure and has a rustic, homey feel to it.
Of all the ice cream pancake and Wellington Wines pairings my hubby and I had the pleasure of tasting this week, this choc mint ice cream pancake pairing with Wellington Wines Pinotage was our favourite. I just love a pinotage and well, my hubby is a bit of a chocoholic to say the least.
Let’s just say this ice cream pancake pairing with Wellington Wines Shiraz is berry berry nice. 😀 A jammy strawberry and mixed berry ice cream makes for a beautiful pink dessert that I topped with chai seeds for that hint of cinnamon I like with my pancakes. If you like to spice things up a bit you can replace the chai with aniseed. Yes please!
